Sabrina Katakam did her B.Sc Home Science in Hyderabad and then worked in London for British Telecom as a Programmer and Systems Analyst. After coming back to India in 1982, she professionally baked cakes for birthdays and weddings. In 1986 she studied Homeopathy and became a lay practitioner helping friends and family.
She sat her first ten-day Vipassana course in October of 1990 and started serving Children's courses from 1991. She became an assistant teacher of Vipassana in 2001 and has conducted courses and workshops in India and abroad. She along with another teacher is the Coordinating Area Teacher for AP,Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala.
Normally only the physical aspect is treated by the doctors while nothing is done for the mind which is responsible not only for disease but also holds the key to leading a healthy and happy life. I am very happy to associate and lend my support to Sanjeevani in this aspect.
