Rajasthan is one of the coldest regions of the country during the winter season. This calls for necessary care and protection to help combat the nippy weather.
Sanjeevani… Life Beyond Cancer saw this as an opportunity to distribute blankets and warm woollens to patients of the Palliative Care department of Acharya Tulsi Regional Cancer Treatment and Research Centre. This event saw the presence of Dr. RP Aggrawal (Principal of Sardar Patel Medical College), Dr. M.R. Bardia (Director, Acharya Tulsi Regional Cancer Treatment and Research Centre,Bikaner), H.S. Kumar, (H.O.DAcharya Tulsi Regional Cancer Treatment and Research Centre, Bikaner) and Dr. Ashu Malik, (Senior Doctor at Railways Hospital).

Christmas Celebrations

This year on the joyous occasion of Christmas, Sanjeevani… Life Beyond Cancer in association with The Lioness Club joined forces to double the cheer for cancer patients and their children at the Acharya Tulsi Regional Cancer Treatment and Research Centre, Bikaner.

It was a heartwarming sight to see all patients come together to partake in the christmas celebration despite their condition and religion. The members of the Lioness Club were ecstatic and overwhelmed with the response they saw and look forward to the coming years’ celebration too.

New year Celebration with Sanjeevani… Life Beyond Cancer

Often times, cancer patients that visit the hospital come from underprivileged backgrounds and limited means to support themselves. As part of its objective to lift these patients to better means, Sanjeevani decided to support them and bring in the New Year with a better start. We began a clothes bank and utilities supply bank where people generously donated their clothes and other everyday items like utensils too. The Event was held in collaboration with Mahavir Internationals society, who also provided a cupboard for the clothes.
Our esteemed guests who showed support in this cause were Mr.Kamal Kalla (President of woollen industries associations and also Nephew of Cabinet Minister Dr. B.D.Kalla), Dr. M.R. Bardia (Director, Acharya Tulsi Regional Cancer Treatment and Research Centre,Bikaner), Charu Nahata (member of Mahavir Internationals society), Dr. Ashu Malik (Senior Doctor at Railways Hospital), Abhishek Joshi, Meenakishi Bhatia, Bansilal ji and Sushma ji.

Poster Making competition for No tobacco Day

On occasion of World No Tobacco Day, Sanjeevani… Life Beyond Cancer’s Bikaner chapter organised an awareness drive that was themed “ill effects of tobacco consumption”. Participants engaged in a poster making competition to raise awareness with their artwork. The event was attended by special dignitaries like ADJ Pawan Aggarwal, Director Dr. M.R Bardia, Dr. Neeti Sharma, Dr. Shankar Lal Jakhar.

This event saw enthusiastic participation from individuals of all ages - children, patients, hospital visitors and staff too. All the attendees listened in rapt attention to the wise words of Dr. Sharma about the side effects of cancer. Dr. Sharma very rightly stated that while tobacco might give us temporary pleasure, it gives you a lifetime of problems in the long term.
