During my internship in Sanjeevani Life beyond Cancer I had really good moments, but my favourite experience has to be from a particular screening camp. I remember the first screening camp which was held in Najirapar, Noonmati, Guwahati where I felt it was tough and a little boring to go to an individual’s house to mobilise them for screening. But with time I began enjoying the process of going to their houses, mobilizing them for screening and also educating people about cancer and how to prevent it. I have built a network with interns of other universities through Sanjeevani Life Beyond Cancer. I would like to salute my guide, my mentor, Miss Sumki Begum, for helping me improve my confidence. She showed me the right track, taught me how to build relationships with the people and showed me the working procedure in screening camp. In this way I built a good relationship with my mentor and lastly I’d like to share “bad decisions lead to experience and good decisions stem only from experience.” This is life, we should never regret it.
