BSW (Final Year)

Royal Global University

After joining Sanjeevani, my first task involved helping cancer patients with their form fill-ups. As the days passed I started learning how to work on case studies and even learned how to offer counselling for aspects such as chemotherapy, lifestyle changes and nutrition. My supervisor Ms Sumki Begum was very supportive of me and she guided me in being a quintessential student social worker, which is very important in the professional line of work. Along with her teaching, Mrs. Nandini and Mr. Mridul, the junior counsellors of SLBC, also guided me in whichever situations I needed their help in.

My experience of working in an organization for the first time was very good and it taught me skills like organizing awareness camps, managing such camps smoothly, organizing street plays, making YouTube videos and much more. After working in this organization, I can conclude that helping cancer patients is no longer just my work but it has become my passion.
